Why did you choose the University of Pittsburgh?

I chose the University of Pittsburgh for its strong research community and collaborative training environment. I was particularly drawn to the program’s emphasis on integrating basic and translational research in microbiology and infectious disease, as well as its broad expertise in host-pathogen interactions.
