Why did you choose the University of Pittsburgh?

I chose the University of Pittsburgh because of its strong emphasis on interdisciplinary research in human immunology. PMI’s scientific community connects fundamental studies of immune mechanisms with translational insights, making it an ideal environment for me to grow as both a scientist and mentor. On top of that, I was surprised by how welcoming and accessible the faculty were during my interview weekend, and I enjoyed Pittsburgh’s distinctive architecture and urban character.
