Why did you choose the University of Pittsburgh?

I chose the University of Pittsburgh because it encompasses a great variety of biomedical research and opportunities in translational medicine. The ability to connect your research to the medical sphere, developing diagnostic technologies, compelled my quest for scientific inquiry and interest.  PMI fosters interdisciplinary collaboration in microbiology and immunology and is dedicated to training students to become independent and competent scientists- which I highly value.
